Effective 3 October 2026
Privacy, plainly.
What we collect when you ask to join a room, why we need it, and how to have it removed. There is nothing else to read between the lines.
What we collect
Only what you type into the request form, plus two things recorded automatically:
- Your name and email address.
- The room you asked about, or the name of a room you would like us to open.
- For professional rooms, your licence number and the state that issued it. For hobby rooms, a licence or certification if you chose to give one.
- The country your request came from, which Cloudflare reports from your connection, and the time you sent it.
We do not ask for anything else, and there is no account to create.
Why we collect it
To consider your request, to check a licence or certification where a room requires one, and to write to you about that room. A request for a room that does not exist yet also tells us which rooms people want, so we know what to open next.
We never sell your details, never share them with advertisers, and never use them to send you anything unrelated to the room you asked about.
Where it is kept
Requests are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site, and a copy of each request is emailed to us through Resend so that we can reply. Both act only on our instructions. Your details may be processed in the United States.
How long we keep it
Until the room you asked about opens and we have written to you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Requests for rooms that never open are deleted after two years.
Your choices
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted, at any time. Write to contact@thejoinbrand.com from the address you used and we will act on it within thirty days. If you live in California or elsewhere with similar rights, they apply here too.
Cookies and other services
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. To stop automated spam, the request form may use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser without tracking you across other sites. The site's typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your IP address when the page opens.
Children
This site and its rooms are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under sixteen.
Changes
If this note changes, the new version will appear here with a new date. If a change affects details you have already given us, we will tell you by email.
